Short professional biography

Dr. Branka B. Petković (before marriage-Veselinović) was born on June 8, 1971. She is married and mother of two children. She studied at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Priština, received her master's degree from the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš (now the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics) and defended a PhD dissertation at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade.

Since 1996, she has been working at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Priština, first as a teaching associate, then as an assistant, and since 2013 as an assistant professor. Since 2018, she has been an associate professor in the scientific field of Analytical and Physical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry. She teaches in several courses within all three levels of study at the Department of Chemistry.

In 2019, she acquired the scientific title of Senior Research Associate. The fields of her expertise are electroanalytical chemistry, material chemistry and environmental chemistry. She is the author of the scientific monograph "Octazamacrocyclic compounds, complexation and analytical application" and the textbook "Scientific Information in Chemistry" for the same course at first degree academic studies. So far, she has been the mentor of one defended doctoral dissertation. Dr. Branka B. Petković is the author and reviewer of a number of scientific papers on the SCI list. The National Accreditation Body appointed her as a reviewer. She is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society and participant of project funded by Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
